Biography of Sofia Bratkowska, Handmaids of Jesus

Description:
Lived in Zhytomyr and belonged to the local parish. She joined the community of the Handmaids of Jesus. From February through July 1940 she hid in her home Fr. Paweƚ Welik, who was illegally living in Zhytomyr. July 10, 1940, she was arrested. October 26, 1940, she was sentenced to five (?) years exile in Kazakhstan. April 30, 1941, she was sent to Karaganda region [Military Collegium, Zhytomyr Dist. Ct.]. Fate thereafter unknown. Source: Dzwonkowski, pp. 510-511
