Biography of Alfonse Jubel

Born into a peasant family in St. Petersburg in 1907. Lived in Leningrad, worked as a mechanic at a factory and was a parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a member of a club associated with the church. In April 1932 he was arrested in a case against Catholic clergy and laity (Proncketis et al.). June 19, 1932 – sentenced to three years in corrective labor camp [OGPU Collegium].
