Biography of Father K. Trimonis

Graduated from seminary and was ordained. Served in parishes in the Diocese of Kaishiadorys and remained there after the annexation of Lithuania to the USSR and during the German occupation. In December 1946 – after the return of the Red Army and establishment of Soviet rule – Fr. Trimonis was arrested in a case against Catholic clergy and laity (Matulianis et al.). September 27, 1947 – sentenced under Articles 58-10 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to five (?) years in corrective labor camp [Special Board, USSR Ministry of State Security].
