- Lived in Odessa. In 1936 he was arrested in a case against Catholic clergy and laity (Frison et al.). The charges stated that, “being associated with the counter-revolutionary group of Father Nold, he had carried out counter-revolutionary activity.” June 20, 1936 – charged under Article 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. Released on his own recognizance that same day. September 11-17, 1936 – at a closed trial, he was sentenced under Article 58-10 to one year, six months of corrective labor camp without loss of rights [Special Collegium, Supreme Ct., Crimean ASSR].
