Biography of Ivan Matskevich

Description:
Born into a lower middle class family in St. Petersburg in 1896. Lived in Leningrad, worked as an engineer at “Bolshevik Factory” and was a parishioner at the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. May 8, 1931 – arrested in a case against Catholic clergy and laity (Wojno et al.). March 7, 1932 – sentenced to three years in corrective labor camp [OGPU Collegium]. Fate thereafter unknown.
