- Lived in Makayev, Donets oblast, and was a servant of the French priest, Fr. Eugene Neveu, AA; from 1926, after Fr. Eugene left for Moscow, he helped manage the household of Fr. David Mailland, AA. In the autumn of 1928 he was arrested on charges of espionage. During the investigation, they extracted statements from him against Bishop Neveu. Sentenced to five years in corrective labor camp.
