Biography of Marian Witkowski

Description:
Lived in Leshchovka, Malyn raion, and was a parishioner of [St. Michael] Church in Ushomyr. In 1933 he was tried in a case against Catholic clergy and laity (Blechman, Woronicz et al.). Charged with “visiting the Polish consulate at Woronin’s behest and transmitting a letter informing the consul about the material situation of the villagers, the ravaging famine, and the overwhelming taxes on the villagers and churches.” Convicted.
