Biography of Fabian Wierzbicki

Born into a working class family in St. Petersburg in 1905. Lived in Leningrad, worked at Lenselprom garage. He was the choir leader at Polish House and organist at St. Stanislaus Church. In 1930 he was arrested on charges of espionage on behalf of Poland; released in August. In April 1932 – arrested in a case against Catholic clergy and laity (Proncketis et al.). June 19, 1932 – sentenced to five years in corrective labor camps [OGPU Collegium]. Fate thereafter unknown. Source: Shkarovskii, p. 255
