Biography of Janina Sokolowska

Description:
Lived in Kiev and was a parishioner of one of the local churches. April 1935 – arrested in a case against Catholic clergy and laity, sentenced to three years’ exile [Special Board, NKVD, USSR]. She was sent that summer to the Northern Territory; thanks to a petition on her behalf filed by the Political Red Cross in December 1936 she was released. Fate thereafter unknown.
