Biography of Joseph Risling

- Lived in Odessa and was taking bookkeeping courses; was a parishioner of the local church. In the spring of 1930, being seriously ill, he gave his passport to Father Alois Kappes, who had gone into hiding during the time of mass arrests and was the object of a nationwide search. In August 1930 he was drawn into the investigation in a case against German Catholic clergy and laity. Convicted (?). Fate thereafter unknown.
