- Born into a peasant family in Purpli, Rezhitsa district, Dvinsk province in 1905. Finished high school. Lived in Latvia and was a church organist. November 8, 1948 – moved to Leningrad where he became the organist at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. October 17, 1949 – arrested in Leningrad, charged with “collaboration with the fascists during the German occupation.” Sentenced to a prison camp. Fate thereafter unknown.
