Biography of Klemens Deppershmidt

- Lived in Schönchen [Paninskoye], a German colony on the Lower Volga; worked on his own farm and was a parishioner of the local church. In 1930 he was arrested in a case against German Catholic clergy and laity. Charged with “active anti-Soviet propaganda for the legal and illegal emigration of German colonists to Germany.” Convicted. Fate thereafter unknown.
